The whirling circle design is an old chip carving design that I used to do lots of. It’s been incorporated into larger, more complex designs, but on its own, it makes a nice brooch or fridge magnet.
When I had a large order or was getting ready for a show, the best way to batch out a large number of spoons or spatulas was to prep a bunch of blanks and then individually work through them. Each is different. It’s no fun to make two alike.
Her Imperial Majesty Xenia was serious bout her nip. Enough said.
The next two are of a old wooden boat in a boatyard that has seen better days. There is a specific term for the way it’s caulking is bursting from the seems, but it escapes me now.
I grabbed this can of tobacco from the internet as an illustration for one of my stories about the Cap’n. Holiday pipe tobacco was his favorite.
At last! Max protesting

Your kitty had a drinking problem? Not sure what else the nip was she was serious about…or what she was covered in. I believe I need more of her story. Thanks for joining in again, Lou.
