An invaluable phrase.
This was the most difficult lesson for me to teach my critical thinking students. They’d grown up in a system in which “I don’t know” was failure. I learned to qualify it with, “I don’t know. I’ll find out.” Then they were more amenable. I thought it was too much to make them accept that maybe nobody knew or ever would…
