Sunset

Sometimes it’s the simplest of things you’ll miss most. We are exhausted, and just unpacking from the cruise. We’ll have to get used to making our own bed, cooking, making coffee, and serving ourselves meals. I have to admit I didn’t suspect that I’d get used to that sort of luxury. But I did. Just spolied rotten.

But what am I going to miss the most? It’s the simplest of things. It’s the sunset off the stern of the vessel. It’s something I’ve missed acutely these years after “swallowing the anchor,” and I very sillily allowed myself to be lulled into my ancient habit.

Pretty, isn’t it?
