Four inches of fresh snow? What sorcery is this? Yes, it is New England. If you don’t like the weather, stick around, and it’ll change. But Tomorrow is Palm Sunday, and I was going to put sugar snap pea seeds into the garden. I was going to put the shovels away today.
Am I having some ultra-realistic dream? those damn flakes feel real. This is taking realism in dreams to darned far.
Okay, OK. I just know you folks living in Northern Ontario, Alaska, and places like that are sniggering at me, but damn it! It’s supposed to be spring!
It’s not fair!

it’s snowing hard in Portland ME harbor this morning . . .
Ahhhh…Spring in New England.
I understand this feeling! I remember one snowfall on Mother’s Day, May 20th, in Vermont. I think the reason I still remember it to this day is because I was so put out! Late season snow is disheartening.
Sigh…luckily I filled the bird feeders yesterday…the only ones happy were the goldfinches in bright breeding plumage, who were grateful for the sunflower seeds.
Oh that always makes me feel better, when I see a critter who is helped by something like that. I am glad for your goldfinches.
Alaska here- we had about two yesterday, so your still on safe ground with me. But we have a good four feet on the ground accumulation- so there’s that….
I knew there was a reason why I never moved to Alaska! Thanks for reminding me, Violet.
You jinxed yourself just thinking about putting those shovels away before May!
You are probably right!
“Dear Mr. Lou, Please send the snow here. Martha and I will send you 20 Degrees F in the positive in exchange. Your friend forever, Polar Bear Yeti T. Dog”
Bear you have a lot of magic powers, but that one? I don’t think even you can manage it.
We’d love to ship it out!!! But UPS can’t deliver it.- Marcus, Sabrina and Max!!!
