Cheesed Off

So, what’s got me cheesed off today? Buying expensive organic food products from “Green” companies makes me feel cheesy. The hype is how good the food is for your health and the environment. But they package it in non-recyclable plastic.

The natural foods and organic products movement needs a deputy to police the consistency of their claims against the hypocrisy of their packaging and marketing.
‘Nuff said!

  1. There are plant-based and/or at least biodegradable packaging options. If only manufacturers would commit to whatever extra $ or labor for ethical packaging, we could reduce a huge ever- building footprint. (Well, not in our lifetime, I’d guess.๐Ÿ˜)

    1. It is also, I think, the retailers. Their shelving system is now designed to accomadate the plastic bag containers so much food now is diplayed in. A change would have to involve them. I wonder how willing they’d be to make changes.

      1. True! Yeah, no — not willing, and this is a democracy so no one would force anyone to help save the earth for future generations. Well, certainly not anytime soon, anyway.
