Is it egotism to start an autobiography with – “in the beginning,” or perhaps ” I was born” or” at first?”
I’ll go with it in the beginning. As a phrase, it sets the tone for the rest of the book; it is a bit esoteric but immediately relatable to others you may have read. The sort of thing you might expect to need some extra calories getting through – you know -something to nosh on.
I may need to do what the celebrities do: get a ghostwriter to help zip up the dull places, get releases from people who might otherwise sue, and generally lie. But mostly an employee who will put a bit of spin on the dull spots, and we all have lots of dull spots.
I see it now: ” My life, as told toโฆ”
In the BeginningโฆMarcus and Sabrina were born. soon we moved into our new palace with servants a dog for a security detail and lots of food.
