Sabrina here! It’s a major holiday for cats here in the States. Father makes an entire turkey. Then my brothers, Max and Marcus, and I make his life a living hell until he tosses us bits from the cutting board. It’s traditional. Carreras cats have done this before the famous Clancy J bumps, the Grey Menace, and even before. Who knows, back to when the saber-toothed tiger cats first domesticated humans?
If we didn’t spend our time stuffing ourselves, the poor humans would think we were ill and take us to the vet.
Then, of course, there are the other events. It’s the day that Father puts Christmas lights in the windows. Of course, Marcus and I help. What would he do if we didn’t test everything to ensure they couldn’t be pulled down? We are his little helpers, although the term he often uses is different, and he usually hollers it.
Then, in the evening, we chase the train on the layout Father is building upstairs. Marus wants me to lay across the track to stop the train. He says that young ladies across the tracks are the traditional way to create a bottleneck in train traffic. When they slow the train down so I can be saved, Marcus will jump on it, and Father will use that particular term for us that he hollers.
Well, TTFN (Ta Ta for now). I must supervise Father in the kitchen, or we’ll never have dinner.

Clancy J Bumps? Clancy had a surname (which wasn’t Carreras)?
His family had been kicked out of Prussia for biting cattle, they found refuge in Ireland but were forced to flee to Canada for bothering the cows for milk. The original family name was Von Dinks BÜmps, but they shortened it to avoid getting caught by the Mounties. Clancy was, very proud of his JÜnker ancestry. He did adopt the Carreras Surname whenever he ran into the law.
Markus, you’re my new hero. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving. Just so you know, my family’s cat, Hertz of Song and Story, once got a defrosting turkey out of the sink and dragged it to the garage. Your pal, Martha
