You people don’t know how hard we work this time of year. It’s Harvest! We arein the process of harvesting the nip that will go into those famous Colonel Clancy products: Colonel Clancy’s Bastard Blend, Colonel Clancy’s Maui Woweeeeee, Clancy’s Massachusetts Gold, and the ever famous Colonel Clancy’s Cat Nipshish ( flowers and seeds only). We only use the finest kind organically grown catnip. Our faithful human servants hand harvest and selectively dry it.
Afterward, we cure it and mix it using secret recipes handed down from the Grey Menace himself – Clancy J. Bumps. Only after extensive testing is it graded and packaged for distribution to discerning nipceandos all over the United States. Sorry, cats abroad the idiots at the border were stealing it for their own cats and pretending that they were seizing it as a dangerous drug. It’s harmless when taken in small doses.

It’s an old song we learned from our Dad!
Not all cats are into catnip—there’s a gene for that. Back in CA, I raised purebred cats, and one of our lines were total nipheads. I had an herb garden, and would bring in talllll catnip branches (stalks?) to hang and dry. I’m not sure how he did it, but somehow one of my boys got a hold of a 3-ft long stalk, full of leaves, fresh catnip–and ATE THE WHOLE THING IN ONE SITTING!!! After a frantic call to my vet, who told us just to observe the dork, well… it was amusing. He never arfed any of it up, either. 🙂
Clancy was a niphead like that, which is where we got the name of Colonel Clancy’s.
