The little white flowers clasped close to the stem are on the water horehound. Nearby the tiny red flowers grace a willow herb ( which exact species I’m not sure of). The larger blue flower belongs to an obedient plant nearing the end of its bloom. None of these exactly stands out against showier blooms in the garden but are seldom the seldom-seen pleasures of having a miniature bog within easy reach.
Within a few weeks, all the flowering in the bog will be done for the season, and growth will slow down in preparation for the fall and winter.
