This was the last photo on the card for July 2024. It’s shot up at one of my corn plants. Yeah, the raised beds are experimental this year, and I wanted to see how far I could push things. So here is one of about a half dozen corn plants.

Oh my, our sweetcorn plants are WAYYYY behind yours?
(Sorry, there shouldnโt be a question mark. I was telling you, not asking you!)
We tried growing corn once; if not for that giant spider and its web that sat guarding the one corn cob, we’d have hauled in 3″ of corn! We did haul in 3″ of carrot, once, lol. Ah, New England soils, right? Here’s hoping all six of your cobs flesh out all the way!
Good old glaciated New England soils…the real reason the rest of the USA got populated…by the fleeing Yankees.
