Just so there will be no later confusion, I no longer fantasize about winning the lottery. It’s too exhausting. It sets off cravings for things that are not good for an older gentleman to fantasize about. It leads to invidious comparisons with how other people who actually have money live.
Besides, actually winning the lottery would mean a reunion with all those family members who haven’t sent me a Christmas card for the last fifty years.
If I won, I’d do the old submarine movie thing and rig for silent running. I’d quietly close up the house, rent a large RV, and move the family to a quiet, undisclosed location. Let the errant distant kin gossip about how cheap we are – not even a postcard!
Why did I even answer this question? I was doing so well not dreaming about what I’d do with enough money to do a total Scrooge McDuck and swim in a pool full of money!
OK, take deep breaths. Let them out slowlyโฆrepeat the mantra – I am satisfied with my lifeโฆrepeat it a thousand timesโฆI will not fantasize about winning the lottery.

That’s what I’d do, too. The dogs and I would light out for the territory ahead of the rest.
You have deadbeat Carreras relatives also…Martha, I didn’t realize we were related!!!
We are???? That’s cool, bro.
Too funny! I can only guess at how many relatives you haven’t heard from, and many new ones would appear if you won the lottery
All the ones that I haven’t seen since my father’s funeral. When he died, they all realized the family gravy train had stopped. No kidding.
Hahaha! It’s hard not to dream about the lottery – especially if you play the lottery!
I play two games (one of them is daily). Both won’t get me any more than $100k max. Just enough money to make a difference but not so much to turn my life upside down and bring the crazies out of the woodwork.
I don’t know. These days, the crazies don’t need much of an excuse to come out of the woodwork.
