I can be accused of being more than a bit dilatory in changing my dressing styles . Long-sleeved LL Bean T-shirts in cool weather. Then, short, short-sleeved t-shirts from Liberty Graphics (in Liberty, Maine) in warm weather. Today, I am wearing a design featuring a bright salamander. Periodically, as the companies adopt different colors or designs, there is a gradual shift as I adopt new designs. But who knows how old some of the individual pieces are? I have lots. To my wife’s dismay, I rarely eliminate ones that have been soiled in the workshop, or have worn thin.
Sartorial, ain’t me
The advantage of my steady fashion choice is that I am easy to pick out of the lineup. “Yes! That’s him! The one with the faded black long-sleeved T!”
My wife or kids never have to fear for losing me in a crowd.
My choices are appropriate for a variety of activities. Storm chasing, shopping for wood, working in the garden, at the grocery store, or having a casual pizza dinner. To dress up a bit, I throw on a fresh pair of khaki dock pants and an old tweed jacket from my days teaching as an adjunct professor.
See, it’s a very flexible wardrobe choice.

old t-shirts make good paint rags.
Hey!!! I’m not done with them as fashionable shop attire!
๐คฃ I’ve been known to put on one of the rags because my shirt was too good.
