Time To Shop!

Max here with a Christmas shopping tip for all you dogs with cat siblings in your home. It’s simple. Shop early.

I had my father take me to Lowe’s and the Tractor Supply Store last weekend. While I was there, I expended my budget for presents on my feline siblings, Marcus and Sabrina. I bought them some lovely refillable catnip mice. They are catnip snobs, and only use our own homegrown Maui Wowie nip.

Having carefully made my selection, I was able to proceed to socialize with admiring humans and check up on the other dogs out shopping.

Take advantage of early shopping while you can. Later on, the pickings will be slim, and it will be hard to garnish feline approval with some sad remaindered mousie left over from last year. Avoid getting knocked catawampus by the felines! Keep them happy at Christmas.

Oh, and I’d like some nice turkey jerky, by the way!

  1. Marcus and Sabrina are very lucky to have you in their lives, Max. We might need to think about having a dog join our household.

  2. Max, Pedro and I have a problem with our gift-giving, and we are not able to shop early and then hold onto the gift. We shop early and in our excitement, give it to our kitty immediately. Any tips on how to better manage our strategy?

    1. Clearly, you need a Cattle Dog to manage the household. Jupyter will be grateful for a sibling who can carefully negotiate the contract for extra treats, larger breakfast and dinner portions, and better sleepy beds. She probably just hasn’t mentioned it to you because she knows it might hurt your feelings!
