Lexicon

Lexicon: One study found that people use 16,000 words each day, but another study estimated that only about 800 were unique. The rest were repeats. The repeats are ones like: the, be, and, a, of, to, I, you, and it. The most common verbs: can come, could, do, find, get, give, go, have, know, like, make, say, see, take, tell, use, want.

OK, now you get the picture. The average person says very little in 16,000 words a day.

You already knew that, didn’t you?
