You don’t always get what you expect in the garden. This amaryllis did not bloom around Christmas but decided to bloom in time for Memorial Day.
I am always pleased by my carnivorous plants’ tiny but lovely blossoms. Here, on the right, is the blossom of a tropical sundew, and on the left that of a Venus flytrap.

I have an amaryllis I think is on a similar trajectory!
Maybe they get confused about which hemisphere they are in. I think the plant is originally from South Africa.
I had one bloom at Christmas and again in July. I think the might be a law unto themselves!
