Something always falls off the bus. Last night, I remembered to change the kitty litter box, but I still need to download some forms I need to complete. They were what fell off the bus, of my memory, and available time. I’m good at managing my tasks, but I allow myself to get sloppy semi-deliberately. You see, there are things that I would love to put off, but I know I shouldn’t.
I was so good at changing the litter box, but I was supposed to change it the day before. Last night, I received a visit from the kittens, who made a big to-do of scratching around the box and giving me foul glances. Then, my wife announced that she had changed the downstairs box. The kittens gave me another nasty glare, implying that Mother was the good parent and I was clearly negligent.
OK, my method of doing things with a bubble sort- where they get done as they rise to the surface of my mind- is unconventional. I’ve taken a paper pad and started writing down a to-do list with little check boxes.
At the top of the list is feeding the kittens and the dog. Are you guys happy now? Can you please stop glaring at me? Go play or something. All right, I’ll stop writing and get you your Breakfast!
See what I mean?
