The first photo is a shot of the tool kit used by the famous wood carver John Haley Bellamy. Next is a shot of some of the tools of the soon-to-be famous woodcarver Lou Carreras! Next is a small wind-up train set for tabletop use during Christmas – beloved by the cats. Next is an unattributed eagle carving in the Bath Maritime Museum ( Bath, Maine). My eye tells me it is a McIntyre eagle based on the stylistic elements. Then we have a group of cherry spoons I made for Christmas presents several years ago. Following this is a portrait of the late Xenia, Empress of All She Surveyed.
Next up is one of our infamous Carreras family Nativity scenesโthey normally feature multiple Jesii, Mary, and Joseph, and a host of non-politically correct and outright blasphemous images. Next is a carved lintel uncovered during construction in town. I think they damaged this and covered it with some gross 1950s ticky-tack! The last is of herbs drying last summer in the kitchen window.

I love wooden spoons. I must have at least 30 of them sticking out of a big clay turkey sculpture with holes all over it. I don’t think it was created for this purpose, but is perfect for displaying them… and I always have a spoon or a dozen to help when cooking. I use at least this many per recipe. I love yours and would buy one from you if I chanced upon you in an arts and crafts show!
Thanks, Judy!
