Influence

Daily writing prompt
Who are the biggest influences in your life?

We can create tedious lists of inspirational experiences and people who helped make us who we are. A few of the braver ones will add in the villains who we reacted to giving good against their bad. They helped shape us, too, if only by offering examples of what not to be in life.

But life continues after we mature, and we continue to be influenced. Maybe we begin by carefully selecting who influences us and what we learn from them. Some of you may choose figures in the news, religious figures, or people at work.

In the past several years, I’ve been active in the blogging community. Every day, I write and read about people’s perspectives, joys, philosophy, pets, crafts, art, loves, and tribulations. The posts have been affecting, amusing, thoughtful, and inspiring. There are Magi, comedians, underground philosophers, wits, and traditionalists. It’s a big world, and I can only sample one corner.

There are so many that I can’t mention all of them. So, in no particular order, I’d love to thank:

Lois, Martha, Judy, Fandango, Jim, Weggieboy, Wihoka, Crystal, Tugster, GP, Marlene, Ruth, Irene, Mr. Bump, Heather, Anita, Ella, Mason, Eileen, Dr. KO, Trev, Piper, and Sue.

This is a partial list. Thanks!

Oh, how could I forget Louis Catorze for helping corrupt my kittens?

    1. And tha same to you, Anita! I love to see the intresting perspectives you bring to your blog…you are not just “another” blogger, and that makes your posts special.

  1. This was a sweet read. There is another Marlene out there that I didn’t know about! I need to meet her. I want to know more about corrupting Kittens. ๐Ÿ˜‰ Happy New Year, Lou. I’m hoping for more time to read next year.
