I recently stopped working and am so looking forward to learning about gardening this spring and summer!
Basics are pretty easy. One bit of advice is to always have at least one fun experiment going. I am in zone 5 here, but I grow ginger in grow sacks. I’ll take sprouting eyes from what we get at the store and let them get established in the house. In April I’ll put them in the greenhouse, and in June they go out in the garden. I harvest in September and save some of the plants to overwinter in the house. I don’t get a lot but I get a hoot out of growing my own.
