Hear All About It.

I wonder how we are awash in information but so full of ignorance? Between the internet, streaming services, regular cable, radio, print, and good old-fashioned face-to-face communication, we are into conspiracy theories, misinformation, and old-fashioned stupidity like no time since the thirteen hundreds. Evidently, the world is headed to the Final Days. And instead of being proactive and doing something about it, many people place their efforts into arguing about the last election, denying civil rights, and arguing about immunizations. Talk about dancing in the dark.
But the problems of the mere proletarians, like you and I, are nothing compared to those of the wealthy.
The other weekend I listened to a report on NPR about the uber-rich building fantasy bunkers to retreat to when the Apocolypse comes. Among the food supplies, swimming pools, medical supplies, and more are the concerns about the security force you hired. After all, how do you keep them loyal when the world is gone, and the currency you pay them in is now useless? Even the dream worlds of the wealthy have issues.

It all seems petty. The old story about rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic comes to mind. Each group according to its means, but both lack any grasp of their actions’ futility.

Have you heard about the new cure for……….?
