Good Morning!

At the outset, we may refer to it as the Royal Morning Festival of Food. It begins with the appeals to Dad from the Hereditary Lord of the Pantry. The grumbles and growls are part of the ritual, as are the pitiful meows of the starving kittens. The Parade to the Kitchen starts as soon as I am awake.
Once in the Kitchen, there is the much-awaited opening of cans and serving of food, and then silence as breakfast is consumed. But wait. There is still more! We now move to the dining room, where the morning viewing of the bird feeder takes place. Let’s see. The Song Sparrow is back. There are the chickadees. Oh, look! The goldfinches are fighting. After viewing for a while, the Hereditary Lord of the Pantry decides to go out and chase the birds. The kittens then desire to dress in their harnesses for a fast promenade on the balcony.

After an exciting early morning set of priorities, I am allowed to get ready for work, write a blog post, or go to the shop. The lords and ladies of the house begin the serious tasks of washing fur, grooming, and more bird watching.

    1. I just got home after a ling day, and my wife had fed them. The empty cans were in the sink, and they were putting on the most amazing portrayals of starving cats and dog. Award winning.
