The Happiness Engineers have struck again. Silently in the night, while I was sleeping, they “fixed” my blog. Now, instead of a column of the sites I subscribe to on the right of my reader, there is a column of sites that WordPress is shilling for. It is a blatant invasion of a site that I pay for. I like it the way it was, and I resent their idiotic interference. It seems in recent months that there is at least one weekly unexplained shift in how things look or, worse operate. Admiditly, this may cause me to cogitate harder, and stave off the effects of cognitive decline. but it’s reached the point that it’s become a guessing game – what have they screwed with now.
It was convenient the way it was. I could easily scroll down to the icon for the blog I wanted to visit. Now, I have a list of instructions I must execute to restore the way things worked. I think the Mayhem engineers may be the more appropriate name for those dear people who are working tirelessly to fend off my cognitive deficiencies. Unfortunately, all they are doing is helping me achieve new heights of sarcasm and dislike.
I decided to send a message to the Mayhem Engineers. Here is what it said:
I have a list of suggested sites to subscribe to in the place where the sites I subscribe to were in my reader. I am sick and tired of unexplained, unannounced BS changes for the “happiness engineers”. I pay for my site, and can bloody well go elsewhere. FIX IT!
I kept it clean, people. I really wanted to go full tilt buggy foul-mouthed on this one…but I behaved. For now.

Oh no Lou! I saw your post and went to check and it’s awful!! I used the Reader for the same exact purpose: I had all my favourite blogs on the right and scrolled through to see who had recently posted and which ones I wanted to go directly this. I had to click through the entire menu to find my favourite blogs. Why does this make sense to anyone? Argh. I am also going to complain.

I just had a long conversation with their AI. It accurately understood my complaints and my rationale for the complaints. It did not agree to pass on my concerns, however. It kept telling me to go tell the Forum. I have lost interest for this topic for the day, however. Ho hum.
I did just read that they are instituting some new stuff for blocking some of the spam bot thingies, but not sure if this has anything to do with that or not. I’m sorry, love, I currently cant get the site to refresh without doing it manually, so there’s that… hehehe… oh well… hugs
When I tried to like a post on your page, the like icon kept enlarging and shrinking. It was like playing whac-a-mole.
