Daily writing prompt
Which topics would you like to be more informed about?

The other night, I was in the station training some volunteers on how to record a live governmental meeting. The technologically tricky parts of this are what you do at the beginning and at the end. So while waiting for someone to call for an adjournment, I read through about seven news sites. I also scanned bunches of one topic locations and watched some videos. When I saw this prompt this morning, my reaction was that it isn’t so much what I need to know more of. It’s how I filter out the noise, rage, idiocy, and bullshit.

Everyone has an angle; there are literally tons of fake stuff out there, and even though I am pretty adaptable, I just can’t take it anymore.

So you see, the question is backward. What do I need to filter out of the trash feed?

  1. Yep. There’s a lot of noise. Then noise commenting on the noise. Then noise commenting on the noise commenting on the noise. I’m with you. BUT there are things I want to know more about. I got some new yellow paint that’s going to work to light the grass in front of the Rainbow Girls. Other stuff I’ve learned in the last few months, too. Sometimes noise cancels out noise. That’s the good noise.

          1. I’m sorry it hit you that way. That’s no fun.

I’ve had Covid twice and vaccines in good order, so I don’t know. It’s a nasty evil thing. The first time I ended up with long Covid. It was surreal. The second time was like a bad cold.

  2. I just skipped watching the news. I thought I was handling things pretty well, but I am beat. How in the holy heck do the people that work with him work with him? No one of them has the urge to say, “This is all BS!!” I am mind-crambled, Lou. It all belongs in the trash feed.
