My uniform of the day is pretty much as it was the last time this prompt was up. Come on, WordPress, don’t be stingy with shekels. Pay the poor prompters a few extra dimes a week, and expect them to, at least, vary them. I mean, I can sit here and damn with faint praise the lack of variety.
Wait! Are we going to get an annual calendar of special prompts perpetually circling? I mean, if that’s the case, I can replace Halloween for prompt “Have you laid plans for the holidays?” Every year I can plan on it like it was a holiday itself. A whole WordPress calendar for the faithful bloggers. The many thousands of us?
Now I wonder, I never thought you folks were planning a quiet takeover. But you do brag about how much of the internet you power. Is the next step deeper social influence? As an anthropologist, I can see how important calendrical cycles can be. You control the entire ritual and deep economic cycles. And it has religious overtones; kinky!
So, where next? A WordPress social movement…stay away from politics…we have enough cracked mirror types in that already. Anyway, count me in if I get a discount on my hosting.
Oh yeah. I almost forgot. My fragrance of the day is still Bay Rum, it goes with the dock pants and long-sleeved teeshirts.

So true. I see these prompts and think – didn’t I already write something about this? But still, the prompts can be helpful and fun especially on those (many) days when my mind’s a blank.
I agree! But I take a perverse pleasure sometimes in bending, folding, spindling, and mutilating them!
