91 word weekend writing prompt:

I was introduced to the word omphalos during a course in ancient history. The omphaloi were the navel and origin of creation in many traditions. As an exercise, we were asked to find and describe physical locations around the Boston area that had characteristics of an omphalos. The results were interesting; the Boston Public Library courtyard, a church, and an arboretum. One student, tongue in cheek, suggested a barroom, where he found the best ideas for term papers.
The professor asked him to hold onto this idea until we studied Dionysius.
