Silly prompt. If you cant live without it it’s not a luxury. It’s a necessity.
But to bend a point, I’m not the sort who can’t do without the boob Tube, and I’m neutral some of the “luxury” items that wind up in the bathroom. I’m a pretty basic sort of guy.
A Cats Perspective On The Issue

Now my cats, Sabrina and Marcus, are sitting there glaring at me. “There is a Cat and Dog toy store that provides the most elegant small sachets filled with fresh, premium-grade Nip. Yes, the nip ordinaire we grow hereabouts is good. But their stuff is the finest kind! As our assistant, it behooves you to provide the finest luxury catnip and toys. After all, we work tirelessly for you. Yes, it is Noblesse oblige! But the least you can do is provide some essential luxuries.”

Being Swiss (at least 50%). I will remain neutral in my comments.
When they start throwing around phrases like ‘Noblesse oblige’ it is time to act. Chop, chop, Father!
I think they may be using the computer when I’m not home. You know they spend all that time watching me…I guess it was inevitable.
nice๐
Your cat looks just like our little Tabby! Ours has an orange tipped tail, though.
Our two guys are part Bengal and part something tabby. The story is that Momma was a Bengal and fell for the neighbors tabby. The breeder was not pleased and the kittens went ot the shelter in North Carolina. We adopted them here in Massachusetts, and they work sooooo hard to improve our sad and wayward life.
“Rawhide pencils. Martha says the price has gone up a LOT. We have no idea what she means. Your pals, Bear and Teddy”
Max: Listen up! around here we have a Union. Management has to keep to the Contract or else! We’re a local of the Teamsters. Ask your UPS driver who the local Business Agent is. Get unionized! No more baloney about the damn snacks being too expensive. Our boss thinks he’s so smart, but he knows that contract negations are coming soon, and knows what’s good for us is good for him!
Don’t worry, Max! We have her wrapped around our paws. Bear and Teddy
Maybe they use the word ‘luxury’ to emphasize how valuable or priceless something is :D. Anw, your cats look very adorable!
THe obvious answer is: any toy that costs money will be abandoned in favor of the toy that is free. When Mom buys a $7 mouse filled with catnip, it is preferable to become obsessed with chasing a plastic ring from the milk carton for the next two days.
