That’s right! I have a contrarian view. I think all this is actually a sly, scandalous commercial ploy! Empty your house, they say with great emotion! Live an uncluttered life. It’s just a scheme. Look carefully at people’s habits. The proponents of this scammy philosophy know that you are programmed to buy, pay attention to bargain flyers, and promotions! They also know that you are preconditioned to avoid the prepaid, and go for the credit card – maximizing their profit. They got you coming and going!
It’s all a plot to empty your home and then allow you to fill it up with more stuff.
Yup, as soon as it’s empty, they’ll hit you with the promotions and ads for more stuff you just can’t resist. It’s a nasty cycle, empty, fill, empty, fill. Don’t fall for the BS. If you are happy with your stuff, keep it, and resist being programmed!
Marie Kondo is actually a rogue AI construct!!!

Glad to be of service!
I had to look her up. ๐คฃ
Sigh. Fame is so fleeting!
Don’t I know it… ๐คฃ
I emptied mine in 2013 and have never looked back- today I live a very different completely unfettered existence and wouldn’t have it any other way!
Everyone is different, and what suits one won’t fit someone else.
I decluttered when we downsized, and now when I can’t find something I regret it.
I’ve heard that a lot.
